What I did:

As the Lead Designer for the MyALD App, I spearheaded the creation of a user-centric mobile application aimed at enhancing the vehicle financing experience for ALD Automotive customers. The app provides instant access to essential information, assisting users with various aspects of their finance agreements, from booking maintenance to managing unexpected issues


Role and Responsibilities:

User Research: Conducted comprehensive user research to identify pain points in the existing vehicle financing process, ensuring the app addressed real user needs.

Information Architecture: Developed a logical and intuitive information structure, enabling users to effortlessly navigate through features such as service bookings, document access, and emergency assistance.

UI/UX Design: Designed an intuitive interface that aligns with ALD’s brand identity while prioritizing usability, ensuring a seamless experience across various devices.

Prototype Development: Created interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts, gathering user feedback for iterative improvements.

Collaboration: Worked closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the design vision was accurately implemented, maintaining a consistent user experience throughout the app.



Key Features Designed:

Personalised Dashboard: A central hub providing users with quick access to their vehicle information, upcoming service appointments, and important notifications.

Service Booking: Streamlined the process of scheduling maintenance and repairs, allowing users to find nearby service centres and book appointments directly through the app.

Digital Document Storage: Enabled users to securely store and access important documents, such as insurance papers and finance agreements, within the app.

Emergency Assistance: Provided users with immediate access to support in case of breakdowns or accidents, including step-by-step guidance and contact information for roadside assistance.


Outcomes:

The MyALD App successfully enhanced user engagement and satisfaction by simplifying the management of vehicle financing. Users reported increased convenience in accessing information and services, leading to higher overall satisfaction with ALD Automotive’s offerings.
